Guest speakers from Embodied Labs will provide insights and demonstrations on cutting edge approaches to instruction. We have a few spots left for the morning workshops. Adobe Spark Training
Join our Adobe Student Ambassadors for an introduction to using Adobe Spark to produce professional-quality images, audio/video recordings, and webpages for various contexts, from in-class or conference presentations to e-portfolios, digital narratives, and other multimedia assignments.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: INTEGRATIVE LEARNING THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH PROJECTS
The community-based research (CBR) initiation grant supports proposals that represent collaborative partnerships among community partners, students, and faculty teams. Projects should advance the development of community partner capacity, student integrative learning through the high-impact practice of undergraduate research, and facilitate the evolution of faculty scholarly identity as it relates to community-identified needs. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S ISSUES CONFERENCE (2018 IWIC WOMEN IN TECH: THE NEXT GENERATION OF ACTIVISTS)
The Women’s and Gender Studies program presents the 3rd international conference on women’s issues. With over 12 countries in the past, our IWIC is a great chance to meet international scholars, present your research, bring your classes and encourage your colleagues and graduate students to participate. Some of the research areas invited are art, health, literature, education, political science, communication, gender studies, youth, leadership, technology, engineering, psychology, folklore, music, photography, documentary, activism, media, rhetoric, history, philosophy, theater and performance. We encourage UCF registered student organizations to table at the event.
Date: February 16 and 17, 2018 (9:00-5:00 PM). Where: Key West Ballroom. Deadline: Abstracts, September 4, 2017/ Full papers, November 4, 2017 (for those interested in being considered for the conference proceedings). HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH 2017
All faculty, staff, and students are invited to submit a program proposal for UCF’s 2017 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration! The deadline to submit a program proposal is July 28, 2017, and accepted programs will be included in UCF’s Hispanic Heritage Month Calendar (September 15 - October 15, 2017). You can submit a proposal here.

FACULTY WRITING CLUB SUMMER 2017
Join a faculty writing club to start your summer off with a focus on productivity and camaraderie. Having trouble getting into a good writing rhythm? Need to get away from your office to get a change of perspective and a little privacy? Forget the coffee shop—join your colleagues on Thursday and Friday mornings from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in FCTL for a loosely structured writing session. We'll take five or six minutes each week to go around the room and state a goal for the time block and then spend the rest of the time working on our individual projects. Bring your own laptop or use an FCTL computer. And of course there will be coffee. Everyone is welcome!
